AMIS – Armed Movement In Structures

A two-day (20-hour) instruction block focusing on negotiating movement problems within buildings with limited or no resources. Moving through a structure containing armed hostiles, perhaps by oneself, is probably the most dangerous task. This course presents the best options for winning a confrontation under those circumstances, with the qualification that there is simply no fail-safe way to do this.

EWO – Edged Weapons Overview

The Edged Weapons Overview (EWO) course is a two-day (16-hour) focused overview of knife application methods. Lots of people carry pocket knives for various reasons, but very few people have any training on how to deploy them effectively for self-defense. This course gives students a fundamental understanding of edged weapons. Like all ShivWorks courses, EWO is contextualized and presented through a minimalist framework to give students practical tools they can easily learn, remember, and put to immediate use.

ERO – Entangled Rifle Options

Entangled Rifle Options (ERO) is a one-day beta class that represents content previously provided for closed coursework clients only. It has been re-contextualized for a mixed-enrollment venue. This is the first time this has been offered to the general public for open-enrollment over the ten years this content has been taught. Right now this is a one-time opportunity, and the material does not necessarily represent what will eventually become a regularly featured class.
